The popularity of hardwood flooring for interiors, both new and in terms of wood floor restoration, is on the rise and will only grow exponentially this year, according to at least one expert in the flooring industry.
The founder of retail architecture and design company Zachary Design, based out of Buckinghamshire in the United Kingdom, Stefan Zachary, says that he believes hardwood flooring will be the trend to beat in 2011 when it comes to home interiors. Zachary says that the demand for hardwood floor interiors will be for products of the best quality and will also see a market for carpeting suffer a downward turn. “With the quality of fittings in the house in kitchens and bathrooms, people’s aspirations for those parts of the building are now much higher,” Zachary claims. “That extends into bedrooms.”
Designer Hannah Barnes has advised those planning their home flooring décor to try and use a wide and rich variety of colors, noting that copper shades mix very well with colors in the intense blue range. It is also advised that those planning to lay wooden flooring in their homes might want to move their furniture into temporary storage units until the task is fully completed.
Zachary Design was formed nineteen years ago, back in 1992, and has become a significant player in the retail architecture and design industry.
