What was the job?
We travelled to Chelmsford to carry out routine maintenance on the wood floors in a residential property.
Challenges
The main challenge was due to the size of the job. Sanding several rooms can be time consuming.
Some fixtures and fittings could be difficult to work around.
Areas:
Kitchen- 2.5 x 1.25- 3m2
Dining room (adjacent to kitchen)- 2.6 x 2.9 m – 7.5 m2
Office area- 2.7 x 1 m: 2.7 m2
WC/Utility room: 2.5 x 0.9 m- 2.1m2
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
After checking the floor for gaps and loose boards, we were able to begin sanding. After completing the dust free process, we applied for coats of lacquer to the surface in order to preserve the quality of our work.
During the floor restoration
The results
The floors now look newer and the tone is natural. Without gaps or wear, they will last more years than if left unattended.
We successfully negotiated the tight spots and avoided damage to any fittings within the property.
With over 30 years of experience and 25,000+ floors restored, the Mr Sander® team shares expert tips on wooden floor care, sanding, and restoration. Trusted across the UK, we help homeowners and businesses bring lasting beauty, durability, and warmth to every wooden surface we touch.
