What was the job?
Mahogany finger parquet floor needed restoration in a Southwark home. It needed sanding and some repair work needed to be done to the floor to return its quality finish.
Challenges
Loose blocks had to be secured properly before work could start work, in order to prevent damage to the machines.
The parquet met up with a vinyl floor which could have been damaged if our operatives hadn’t worked very carefully in that area.
Area: Living space: 13.44 m2
Time taken: 1 day
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
We ensured the floor was fully secured by fixing loose blocks within the pattern, mainly in the doorway. With the surface level, we were able to sand the floor using our dust-free machines.
Our gap filling resin was then used to create a smooth surface for the lacquer.

The results
Because of our repair work, the floor looks neater at the point it ends and the surface is completely level. Lacquering the floor means it is ready for the wear and tear of furniture and footfall, and will last a lot longer than if left untreated.
