In the rhythmic heartbeat of New York’s timberlands, NY Timber, poised on the edge of evolution, has chosen to usher in new souls. Driven by an ever-changing horizon, the company is breathing life into a nascent division, dedicated to the intricate art of hardwood flooring. As with all new ventures, the delicate question remains – will this new division also encompass the restoration of aging wood floors?

For nearly two dozen individuals, this move by NY Timber has been like rain in the desert. Of the 18, many have freshly emerged from the shadows of Amdega’s downfall – a conservatory behemoth with roots reaching deep into history, not only within the confines of the United Kingdom but stretching its legacy globally. Its unexpected closure, just a season ago in April, scattered many to the winds.
Among these 18 is Andrew Watters, a man of almost four decades, bearing over two decades of wisdom from the timber realm. His journey has been marked by leadership stints at Amdega. “In the face of uncertainty, with my family looking up to me, the world felt a tad heavier,” Watters reflects, “The chance to serve NY Timber not only lightened that burden but has ignited a spark, a promise of a vibrant future with a company that dreams to touch the sky.”
NY Timber, with its roots planted 32 autumns ago in 1979, thrives as a testament to endurance and vision, nurturing over 150 souls across seven homes in Yorkshire’s vast expanse. With the dawn of their fresh venture into hardwood flooring and signature doors, they’ve already laid the foundation with a digital gateway and a physical space for enthusiasts to experience their craft.
