What was the job?
We were asked to sand the floors in a Southfields property.
Challenges
The customer requested that we only sand the floors and not repair the gaps. This meant the floor would not be as strong as it could be.
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
We cleared the floors of obstructions and checked the floor for loose boards. While sanding, we had to work to the customer’s request but ensure that excessive dust did not fall between the gaps.
After sanding, we added lacquer and stain.
The results
While the floors are not like new, the colour of the wood looks better and works with the pale paint on the walls. Despite the remaining gaps, the quality of the wood has still been preserved and lacquer will leave the wood more resilient than before.
