What was the job?

We were invited to sand these wood floors in Aldgate residential property. The boards were severely discoloured and in real need of sanding and refinishing after years of being neglected. Square metres –

Bedroom 2- 10.2 m2

Bathroom- 9.3 m2

Hall- 4.1 m2

Challenges

Some rooms had been carpeted over and the floorboards underneath were discoloured and damaged.

The floors in the house had not been properly treated for some time and this meant extra care had to be taken to prevent further costs.

What we did

We supplied and fit new pine floorboards to replace the damaged boards before sanding using our three stage sanding process with dust-free machines.

Gaps were filled with a mixture of slivers and resin.

We buffed and vacuumed the floors and then applied four coats of clear lacquer to create a shine.

The results

The floors, and house, look a lot more inviting and clean. Not being treated meant the floors had accumulated grime but now they are clean, smooth and looking fantastic.
