How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
When the working area was clear, we supplied and fitted five linear metres of pine boards to replace the damaged ones. When the surface was level and of high enough quality, we began the three stage sanding process.
A cosmetic gap fill then allowed us to buff and vacuum, ensuring there was no debris left behind after the machines had sanded. To finish, we used four coats of clear lacquer.
The results
The lacquer will preserve the effects of sanding but also add extra resilience which can sometimes be necessary within a family home. There was a reduced risk of scratches when replacing furniture in the rooms.
