What was the job?
Queen’s Park is an area of London between the boroughs of Brent and Westminster.
The pine floorboards of a residential property in the area had become worn and some boards on the stairs were loose.
Challenges
The floor was a simple job, as it had just suffered from time, but the stairs had loose floorboards. Working on stairs presents more challenges naturally, as there is a smaller surface area, but loose boards present a tripping hazard.

Lounge + landing- total 29 m2
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
Before we could start the three stage, dust free sanding process, we nailed down and secured all loose floorboards. This reduced the size of the gaps before the resin was used. We only used the resin for the landing, totalling approximately 3.5 m2.
To complete the work, we added four layers of lacquer.
The results
As there are no loose boards, the stairs are safer. After sanding, they also appear a lot newer.
The lacquer ensures the floor will be resilient against the same kind of damage which resulted in our services.
