What was the job?
We were asked to repair some floors in Aldgate which had gone uncared for and left under carpet.Challenges
Because the floorboards were covered with carpet, we were unsure as to what state they were in. After lifting the carpet, it became apparent that we needed to secure some boards.How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
Because the floor had been untreated for a while, we had to secure loose boards and remove any gaps that had been ignored. The floor was not excessively worn so the sanding process was simple. The exposed wooden floors compliment the neutral colours on the walls and the lacquer will help maintain the tone of the boards. Now they are not hidden by a carpet, they will be easier to care for.After we finished the job
