What was the job?
Notting Hill is an area within the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Floors and stairs of property needed routine sanding work as they had been worn.
Challenges
Stairs always provide a challenge because of the reduced surface area to stand on and manoeuvre machines. However, there were also metal strips on the edges of each step.
Patches of the floor were more worn and discoloured than others.
Area: Studio- 44.8 m2
Landing 1- 7.6 m2
Landing 2- 4 m2

How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
The work was routine as the owners had shown a degree of care for the wood. With a clear workspace, we were able to sand, buff and vacuum the floor with no difficulties. When our sanding process was complete, we added four coats of clear lacquer.
The results
Both the floors and stairs look newer and have had their lifespan extended. The light tone of the wood has been preserved and well maintained floors preserve the value of the property.
