Hello, home improvement & interior design lovers! Welcome to the latest edition of the Daily Grind, your regular spot for uncovering DIY tips, interior design inspiration, and indispensable advice and guidance on all things flooring.

This week: discover new, beautiful uses for rustic planks, think again about using solid wood in bathrooms, give your home some extra “WOW” factor with carefully chosen flooring, and find out how to give your wood floor the perfect lick of paint…

If you’re considering giving your wood floors a lick of paint for an instant interior makeover, this tutorial from the lovely Susan Jensen Smith at Your Home Only Better will show you how it’s done.
