Floor Sanding Blogs

Pine floorboards in a Windsor home had become damaged and stained after years of not being maintained.
There were patches of paint in spots on the floor which had to be removed.
The surface of the floor was also very rough as it had always been covered up.Areas:

Before we started, furniture was moved to leave easy access to the entire floor. With a large space to work in, we were able to repair a hole by one of the cupboards in the bedroom. With a level floor, we could begin the sanding, buffing and vacuuming process. After all residue and dust had been removed, four coats of clear lacquer were applied to finish the job.

Once sanded the floor looked immediately better. And after four coats of lacquer the floor was left with a lovely colour and also resistant to damage in the future.
