What was the job?
A property in Wandsworth, South West London, needed maintenance work, sanding and staining for its wood floors.
Challenges
As DIY work had been carried out and it was a residential property, there were several obstructions that had to be moved or worked around.
The floors needed sanding because of the wear and tear that can result from decorating a home and from everyday domestic life.
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
Prior to work, we relocated furniture and moved minor obstructions to allow an open workspace. We then began sanding using out dust free machines.
There was a choice of stain for the customer to choose from so we showed them what each would look like on the wood. After the most desirable colour was selected, we applied it evenly to the surface.
During the floor restoration
The results
Each room now has an even floor with no gaps and a properly applied stain. The lacquer will ensure the colour of the stain remains and that the floor is more resistant to scratches from furniture and everyday family life.
