What was the job?
We were asked to repair some wood floors in a Lewisham property.
Challenges
There were gaps between the floorboards and holes within some of them. These needed to be repaired for work to be completed efficiently and effectively.
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
We started by clearing the floor of large pieces of debris so we could have full access to the floor. After filling the gaps and repairing major damages, we were able to begin the three stage sanding process.
When this was completed, we lacquered the surface to preserve our work.
The results
It is now safe for people to walk on the surface without the risk of splinters or causing further damage to the wood.
The colour is also now more uniform and the work has given the floor a longer lifespan.
