What was the job?

We were asked to go to Hastings to carry out routine maintenance on a parquet floor.

Challenges

Some blocks were loose and needed to be secured before work began. This prevented damage to the blocks and our machines. There was also a hearth which we had to avoid.

What we did 

After relaying the loose blocks, the sanding process was simple. we sanded the surface, then proceeded to buff and vacuum away any excess. This then left us free to apply lacquer.

The results

Though the damage was minimal, the floor has been fully restored to former glory. The lacquer will lock in the colour and keep the wood safe from heavy footfall.
