What was the job?
We travelled to Croydon to carry out maintenance work in a home.
Challenges
The floors were not terrible, but gaps had formed, areas were worn and some boards needed to be replaced.
As several rooms needed work, this would be a time consuming job.
Areas:
Dining room- 9.6 m2 (Pine floorboards – 11 cm)
Entrance hall- 16.7 m2
Kitchen lobby- 2.5 m2
Time taken:
3 days
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
After supplying 10 linear metres of new wood, we repaired and moved boards.
Following this, the three stage sanding process was simple and we concluded with four coats of commercial lacquer.
During the floor restoration
The results
The lacquer will preserve the quality of our work and help keep the boards resilient to the everyday damage that can occur from family life. This also means floorboards should not need to be replaced for years.
With over 30 years of experience and 25,000+ floors restored, the Mr Sander® team shares expert tips on wooden floor care, sanding, and restoration. Trusted across the UK, we help homeowners and businesses bring lasting beauty, durability, and warmth to every wooden surface we touch.
