What was the job?

We were asked to sand and stain the floors of a home in Wandsworth.

Challenges

There were small, fiddly obstacles protruding from the floor. We had to be careful with the machines around these to prevent damage to either the home or our equipment. Some boards were damaged and needed either repairing or replacing.

What we did

We fitted and supplied new boards to the more damaged areas and then secured all loose boards. With a better work surface, we were able to start sanding. Afterwards, we applied a layer of dark oak stain then completed the job with coats of lacquer.

The results

We successfully avoided damaging the pipes coming up from the floor and both the sanding and stain work are uniform. The floor is level and the boards are secure. With care and maintenance, the quality of our work should be easy to keep for years to come.
