What was the job?
A Kentish Town property needed sanding work carrying out in several rooms. The floors were uneven and the client was no longer happy with their colour.Challenges
Some floorboards were loose and uneven. this had to be rectified before we could start work. As the floors had not been treated in some time, there were also gaps between some boards which we needed to fill before completion.Areas:
Entrance hallway: 3.70 m2 Kitchen: 3.80 m2
Front room: 19.60 m2
Bedroom: 11.20 m2

How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
Different areas of the home required different levels of work.
Entrance hallway, front room, bedroom:
We sanded the floor using our three stage, dust-free process before buffing and vacuuming ready for staining. The client was unsure which stain they wanted but decided upon walnut after we allowed them to see samples.
We then finished with four coats of clear lacquer.
Kitchen:
A simpler job which required buffing and vacuuming the floor before applying two coats of clear lacquer. The floor was not as worn as others and needed considerably less repair work.

The results
The floor restoration was a success, with the wood now level and smooth.The client is happy with the darker tone to their floors and the lacquer will preserve the colour.After we finished the job
