What was the job?

We travelled to Fulham to work on two floors which had suffered from years without a proper routine of care.

Challenges

The hearths proved to be an obstruction as we had to work around them and not cause damage to the room or our machines. There were also some damaged boards which need fixing. Areas: Front room- 14.1 m2 Back room- 9.5 m2

What we did 

After repairing broken boards and closing gaps, we began the sanding process. We successfully worked around the hearth and achieved a smooth, level surface. We then sealed the quality with clear lacquer.

The results

The floor is stronger now the weak boards have been replaced and secured. Filling gaps means dust is less likely to fall between the boards and the lacquer will help preserve our work. If the owners maintain the wood, the lifespan will have been significantly increased.
