How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
We repaired the sunken joist in the entrance hallways before replacing five linear metres of timber. With a more even surface, we began sanding.
After the three stage process, we fixed defects and head joints with our sawdust and resin gap fill.
After then buffing and vacuuming, we added white wash effect stain. The work was completed with four coats of clear lacquer.
During the floor restoration
The results
With a paler floor, the feel of the entire room has been changed. The floor fits the room better as there are no gaps and the damaged boards are gone.
Helped by the change in colour, the floor appears like new.
